I started Ascend Strength PT to share that passion with the Motueka community. My mission is to empower individuals to achieve their goals, whether that’s stepping onto the platform for the first time, building a solid foundation, or simply feeling more confident in your own skin. I’m here to be your guide, your partner, and your biggest supporter on the journey to unlocking your full potential.

Foundational Coaching
We’ll build your confidence and a solid foundation, so you can train safely and effectively. Our focus is on safe development, consistency, and building lifelong habits. Under 18 will need parent consent.
Specialized Coaching
We’ll provide specialized coaching on technique, progression, and accessory work to help you break through plateaus and hit new personal bests. Our expertise is in program design, rep ranges, and form to help you achieve your desired physique.
This is an intensive, 8-week program designed to get you ready for summer. The includes a clear roadmap for training, guidance on nutrition, and a supportive environment to keep you motivated and accountable. It’s the perfect way to kickstart your progress and build a consistent routine.

Ascend 12-Week Challenge
Focused on maximum results in a short, fixed period. Emphasize body composition change, significant strength increase, or preparing for an event.
Content Included:
Full 12-Week Training Plan: Detailed, progressive workouts (3-5 days/week).
Advanced Nutrition Guidance: Includes macros, meal ideas, or a sample plan.
Weekly Check-ins & Accountability: High-touch support via a dedicated app.
Before & After Progress Tracking (photos, measurements).
4-Week Power Primer
Highly focused on one specific area, such as increasing bench press/squat/deadlift (Powerlifting focus) or mastering foundational movements (Beginner focus).
Content Included:
4-Week Training Cycle: A program with a clear start and end designed to peak strength in a specific lift or area.
Detailed Technique Cues for the core lifts via video/PDF.
Limited Accountability: Perhaps a single initial check-in and a final review.
Sustainable, long-term progress and workout variety. Keeping training fresh and avoiding plateaus.

New 4-Week Training Programme delivered monthly.

I'm a complete beginner and I've never been to a gym. Is your service for me?
Yes, absolutely. Our foundational coaching is specifically designed for people who are new to fitness. We'll guide you step-by-step, focusing on safe technique and building the confidence to train on your own.
Where are you located?
We operate out of the Motueka Recreation Centre in Motueka, New Zealand. Our sessions take place on-site, giving you access to all the equipment and facilities you need.
What does "Beyond the Barbell" mean?
Our coaching philosophy is simple - your fitness journey doesn't end when you leave the gym. While we'll build you a strong foundation in the gym, we also focus on the key factors outside of it, like mindset, nutrition, and recovery.
How soon will I see results?
Results vary for everyone, but consistency is the key. We'll build a roadmap for your goals and track your progress in real-time. By focusing on consistent habits, you can expect to see and feel the results within the first few weeks.
How do I get started?

What is your cancellation policy?
We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellation. Sessions canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be forfeited. We appreciate your understanding.
